Kuura, 2017 -

Kuura led candle lights are handmade in Suomenlinna, Helsinki.

Light is diffused by a specialty glass-ceramics frit that is attached to a normal glass bubble during blowing. This results in icy, frost-like rough surface (in Finnish, 'kuura') to the object. Battery for the led candle is included.

The glass-ceramics frit is glass that transforms into ceramics when heated. The frit is gathered on the normal glass bubble surface, after which the bubble is heated so that the surface frit crystallizes into ceramics and leaves a rough finish.

PRODUCT INFORMATION:
Size: 10cm x 10cm x 10 cm (small individual differences possible).
Materials: Glass cover, led candle, white plastic base. Battery included and can be changed.
