Nosto, 2015

Pendant lamp Nosto was inspired by an idea of hoisting liquid glass like boats are hoisted from the water; I wanted to create a feeling of molten glass being lifted. The weight of the glass is held by sailing ropes, which minimizes the coldwork needed for the glass.

Nosto was chosen to Protoshop exhibition at the Habitare, largest Nordic interior decoration and design fair. It has also been featured in September Issue 2015, and January 2016, of Avotakka magazine. It was also selected to the New Glass Review 37, in 2016. In 2018, Nosto was awarded in the distinguished Red Dot Award 2018.

Nosto is blown against a supporting mold, which gives each pendant an individual look.

Height: Rope and cord adjusted to 2,3m room height with max. 1m extra on the cord cleat. If needed, the pendant can be customized for higher spaces. Please contact info@lasifaasi.fi in this case before purchasing.
